"WOW!! Althouse, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard."

"At no point in your rambling, incoherent writing were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone who read this is now dumber for having read it. May God have mercy on your soul."

A comment that someone made and then — for some reason — deleted, on this old post.

ADDED: Oh! I thought it was a little too well-written:

(Thanks, Awesome.)

Maybe the person posted the comment in the wrong thread?

A bit disappointing to see a comment that insulting without "You, a law professor!" or a boxed wine reference. Maybe they'll sharpen it up and repost.

I didn't see the first post when you put it up, but I went and read Palin's original post at Facebook after Charles Krauthammer dissed her for conflating the provision on end of life counseling with death panels. I found that she didn't do or say what everybody had been pounding her for, and now you Professor Althouse are the only pundit I've seen who noticed that.

She wasn't talking about end of life counseling, which has been removed for no good reason, but the whole idea of health care rationing, and what would be easier than to tell a woman carrying a special needs child that she would have to get an abortion because the nation doesn't have the means to care for it?

I won't charge eugenics or euthanasia, but they're down there somewhere at the bottom of that slippery slope.

Sounds as if the use of logic may be too dangerous to be allowed to be used by your opposing voice, just like firearms may be too dangerous to be allowed to be used by an opponent of the new serfdom. You were also clearly the winner here of the Drug Sniffing Dog of the Year Award, which is given each year to honor the only member of the DEA that truely poses any threat to Drug Smugglers.Keep up the good logical analysis, Professor Althouse.

Slippery slope? You mean that bit beyond my nose? HA! You must be kidding.

Geez, all this time I've said mostly nice things when, if I wanted to get front paged, I should have been insulting you!
Well, then... ah, I got nothing evil to say, which I guess will be buried down here in the muck of the comments section...

FWIW, nice wedding! ;)

Hey, I paraphrased that quote myself last year.

I thought it was a well-known scene, and I have never even seen that movie.

It would really have been an accomplishment to have merited such abuse.

I laughed at the commenter on that thread who said:

"what a a dingbat professor. Jesus Christ."

How did you find that movie scene Althouse?

Joe said...

Translation: You are incoherent because I don't agree with what you wrote.

(Though sometimes you do ramble and are incoherent, but in that lovable Althousian way.)

Althouse, How could you not know about the Billy Madison quote? It's even been quoted in a court opinion.

And you, a law professor!

Speaking for myself.
Billy Madison is one of the stupidest most idiotic movies I'm glad to say I have not seen, nor will I ever see.

May god have mercy on your soul.
