. . . I'll take a moment to reflect.

Is that the same crane as yesterday?

No egrets, although our love is through.

One would expect the birds in Wisconsin to be more organized.

Are these guys still there?

That's actually a blue heron, hunting.
As the caption implies, the Canada geese are about to land. If you look closely, one of the birds appears to be completely upside down. They can do this to quickly lose altitude - 20 feet in a heartbeat.

Very different.

Almost like the Everglades at dusk.

Bob, I think the first one is a sand hill crane (but from a distance it is hard to tell).

This is a blue heron.

This is a sand hill crane.

I know there are no loons in the photos Ann put up, I just asked if they have left Wisconsin yet (sort of general question).

I think you're right, Fred4Pres.
Nice photos - the one with the geese is interesting.

I spent the past few days at our northern Wisconsin lake property. Lots of shotguns blasting away.

I wonder if those cute little goslings from the spring made it down to gun-free Lake Mendota!

Nancy Grace was apparently guilty of a wardrobe malfunction on DWTS this evening.

I saw that. I do not care for Nancy Grace...

In a completely unrelated story, GOP bigwigs are calling to Christie.

I suspect Mitch will be next if Christie says no.

They figure Perry is done. Mitch is good (for them), but potentially weak. And they fear Herman Cain (either too conservative or unlikely to win).

And Palin? They seem to be hoping she will sue McGinniss and maybe next year do Dancing With the Stars.

They used to congregate at lake rotunda...

So your question is most opportune ;)

Ann may think it's too soon to leave, but, night before yesterday, a wedge of geese were honking overhead and I don't think they were rotating into A-stan.

And praying for a nip slip?

Woo to the pics.

I am also thankful Google cleared that thing I complained about before.

Say Kids, would you like to see a set of three pop-up cards that I sent to relatives on Monday?

This page describes the production process for three cards.

This page describes the original card that was never mailed from from way back in the days of yore. I don't know why I never used it. Maybe my standards are lowering.

They're going Priority to San Francisco, Dallas, and Omaha. Progress tracked online.

No more hummingbirds at the back door feeder. I miss them already.

edutcher, I would be more thrilled by a Sarah Palin nip slip than a Nancy Grace nip slip, that is for sure.

Anyone seen that pic on FB cloud formation looks like the hands of god - sorry too lazy to link. Is it photoshopped?
More double-stick tape for Nancy.
Chip Ahoy thanks for using the PO.
