Looking for the war protest. Part 2: The video.

Meade and I approach the Capitol, here in Madison, Wisconsin, on a Saturday morning, thinking if there's going to be action, it will be here. This is before Obama emerged to say that he was going to ask permission from Congress. This is a 10 minute video, but it's edited and moves quickly, I think. Look at the tags below to get an idea of what's in store:

Would have be interesting if you and Meade went holding some incendiary Obama=Bush War protest signs to generate reaction.

I never hold signs.

I don't think I have ever held a protest sign of any sort.

I think I've only once participated in a protest, but it was only walking and chanting. And it was more than 40 years ago, part of a student strike, demanding that the University of Michigan adopt affirmative action.

Good video. Interesting to see Meade walking in front of you. Made me curious: "How tall is Meade?"

Well look, someone has to organize these things, and clearly people were just too busy. This things don't just spring out of thin air.

Anyway, I'm kinda happy about the right using Not In Our Name this time around.

Roger: I'm the same height as Norichika Aoki although he currently has a higher batting average and more runs batted in.

Looking for the anti war movement these days is like looking for Waldo in the Where's Wakldo books.

My guess is that they, like bears, hibernate in between republican administrations so that when the next rethug takes office next, they are ready with the "not in my name" speeches. But now they need to rest. Speaking truth to power is, like, really taxing.
