The New Mexico State House Republicans are panicking a little; they have not been in the majority since 1954, and they do not know how to elect a Speaker and organize committees, etc. anymore.
However, I am sure they will manage, somehow.

And, even if they only get these next two years, it will be a good thing, because when the Democrats come back, which they will, it will not be with same old party stalwarts that lost their positions in this election.

In 2012 there were several articles about how the Republican Congressional leadership ran to 15-20 years or more younger than their Democrat opposite numbers.

In the Congressional Black Caucus there are no "opposite numbers," but as it is, you just are a nobody around there if you do not have a picture of the bridge at Selma on your office wall and can point to yourself in it, or an autographed picture with Martin Luther King.

There just naturally are going to have to be some changes soon.

Thought: All men (and women) are NOT created equal in every way. They have different abilities at and from conception. The only way they are the same is that they have certain unalienable rights. I wonder if the Dems have warped American consciousness enough to think that things like affirmative action and judgments of disparate impact are based on Constitutional language?
