I ordered the Trump hat Christmas ornament but I don't know if you got d=credit for it.

Mostly I try to buy through the Chicagoboyz portal but usually get it wrong.

Today I won't repeat my disclaimer by, in great detail, pointing out that nothing is free, therefore folks buying directly from Amazon are actually effecting the best possible ability for Amazon price lowering.

Aside from that, in at least one situation skipping Amazon is best: if folks were thinking about picking up Knork copper flatware, you can do better by going directly to the Knork website. Use the promotion code "oprah" to get 30% off*. I grabbed four 20 piece sets for a gift exchange w/ a $50 limit. I also bought the three piece service set thing, so that will be my "official" $50-ish gift, the other four sets are a bonus that will be given discretely. I'm a rule breaking rebel.

*why do I feel like some sorta Nigerian spammer?

"you can talk about whatever you want." Even what I talk about with myself? But how are my fingers and your eyes going to keep up?

Today after work, I stopped off at the grocery store.  In the dairy aisle, I heard a man ask, "How tall are you?"  I looked over and a very tall man replied to him, "Seven feet."  I thought the question was kind of rude; nobody would even think of asking a really obese person "how much do you weigh?" but apparently height is fair game.  A few minutes later, I was at the checkout and the tall man was at the register behind me.  The cashier asked him, "How tall are you?"  "Seven feet," he replied.  We both finished at the same time and as we walked out of the store, I said, "I'll bet you get really tired of being asked that question."  "No comment," he replied.

@Michael K, a couple hours ago I got an Email from the Trump campaign selling that ornament, and other campaign memorabilia, on a 30% off "Black Friday" sale.

I wonder where all this talk about Romney apologizing to Trump before he can be considered for Secretary of State comes from. Obviously not from anyone wishing Romney well, but is it from within the Trump entourage?

Sprezzatura said...

Big M,

Are you sure about that?

The website I'm looking at still has the full price:

https://shop.donaldjtrump.com/products/red-cap-collectible-ornament

Do you have a link?

It's now on facebook for less. It was a donation anyway. I've sent him probably $500 for less.

Listened to Mark Steyn today, substituting for Rush. Hilarious as always.

Steyn said the DNC is having a Black Friday sale on white males. "All Must Go."

It's likley from outside groups rightfully concerned w/a Romney appointment in any capacity above dog catcher.

Key Lime pie. Made right it's
real tasty.

There are cabinet positions that would serve Giuliani and Romney better than Secretary of State. I suspect that Trump is giving the media something to babble about while he ponders who to nominate for that position.

As I understand it, the recount deal started with these computer spooks just wanting to see a large-scale recount to see how the computerized tallies stacked up against a manual count, and preferably in a "normal" election not complicated by charges of fraud. Rather expensive, but understandable from their point of view as long as someone else pays for it.
It looks like they are going to get their wish, though for other reasons, which still puzzles me, since surely the Democrats must know that if there was fraud, it most likely was their partisans who committed it?

I like Edwards' Key Lime Pie. Have tried making it myself but it never turns out quite as well.

A couple of days ago you reported someone vouching for Reince Priebus as a "real Wisconsin Guy".

To those of us outside the state Edgewood College Vice President Tony Chambers is a real Wisconsin Guy.

A group of cross-functional college staff representing campus security, student conduct, human resources, Title IX enforcement, and diversity and inclusion measures convened Tuesday morning to discuss how to address the hateful message. This group determined that the message constituted a Hate Crime.

This is a reaction to a post it note "Suck it up, pussies!" on a board the administration specifically set up and requested people put post it notes with their reactions to the election. A hate crime is a type of crime. What is the crime supposed to be?

These people are nuts.

He is always clever. I met him once and he is very tall. Also very pleasant.

I have most of his books. Trump might make a couple of them outdated.

Big M,

Thanks!

"Russia’s increasingly sophisticated propaganda machinery... echoed and amplified right-wing sites across the Internet as they portrayed Clinton as a criminal," - WaPo

LOL, nothing Hillary herself has done, from destroying evidence under subpoena most recently, to hiding law firm records under subpoena in the '90s and her preternatural talent for getting rich off of people who depend on the government to get even richer every since she held up Tyson Chicken for $100,000 in fraudulent cattle futures trades, nothing has made her look like a criminal...

But those dastardly Russians!

And who says the Washington Post didn't call this one!

But on Trump TV, viewers didn't get any of this “spin.” They just got the unvarnished truth, straight from the people responsible for getting Trump into striking distance: Trump’s in striking distance. On Nov. 8, I fully expect Trump TV to say that Trump actually won.

After all, Conway said they would. Unequivocally.

I see Jill Stein has raised $5.5 million out of the new target of $7 million for the "recount". I in jest yesterday said they needed $50 million. Who knows, maybe the Progs/Dems will piss away 8 figures on this fiasco. Not quite a Jeb Bush level of money burning dumpster fire. But it's great news for the GOP to have a bunch of small $ Dem donors fully disillusioned going into 2018 midterms.

"Privacy isn’t about something to hide, it’s about something to protect. Privacy is the right to the self. Privacy is the foundation of all other rights. Freedom of speech doesn’t mean very much if you can’t try out in a safe space among friends without the judgment of this external society what it is you actually think. Freedom of religion is the same thing.

Privacy is not intended for the majority; that’s not where it derives its value. Politicians don’t need privacy - they’re already powerful, they can already defend themselves. The majority can reshape society to their will; they don’t need it that much. But minorities, vulnerable populations, people who are a little bit different, people who are a little bit unusual, people who don’t fit in even in a small way if you disagree with the majority opinion, you are the one that privacy is for. If you argue, ‘if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear,’ that’s no different than saying you don’t care about free speech because you have nothing to say; it’s an anti-social argument. “It doesn’t matter what happens to the rest of society, it doesn’t matter what happens to my rights because I’m ok right now: I’m not different, I’m not interesting, and I don’t need to be. I’ll adapt to whatever the rest of the world wants." What you’re saying is “I don’t want freedom; I don’t want liberty. I just want to be.” And while you might agree with that, I think we can be better. I think we can do more, and I think we should….I think the rights we inherited are a blessing, something we should protect and defend and ensure that not just this generation but every other generation enjoys, that and more.

Also great to see the money going into the Wisconsin economy to make things look better for Gov. Walker if he again runs for reelection.

The conspiracy theory behind the recount: Jill Stein thinks that she really got more than 1% of the vote nationally, and Hillary stole her votes to be able to beat Trump. And she is getting Dems to pay for the recount under the guise of Hillary overtaking Trump, but really it is to show Hillary stole votes from Stein.

At least according to this guy

AllenS said...

Yes, there is a donate $2700 listed, and there is also an Other $0.00. I don't believe that there is any limit as to how much one can contribute to Stein. There is no way to stop anyone from donating millions of dollars to her. It wouldn't surprise me that that is where most of the money comes from. Hopefully, someone will sue her to provide the details as to where the money came from.

Humperdink said...

That's why it's called the Green Party.

Forgot to say: I don't believe that there is any limit as to how much one can contribute to Stein for the recount.

HT said...

if the conspiracy or fake news says it is to see if votes were stolen by Hillary, so what? Anything that can be done to ensure a cleaner process is good in my book, no matter who benefits. Trump was saying the election was rigged if he didn't win. That's a strange thing to say. If you listen to recounters' rationales, you would have known that they are questioning the vote differential between the exit polls and results, in the presidential yes, but also in the senate race which they say was greater.

They are saying that the machines were hacked. Listening to the various secretaries of state before the election, it was strongly suggested and nearly guaranteed that there is no way the machines could be hacked, so I have a hard time understanding how the Greens think they were, but I haven't read everything on the matter.

George Soros has a room full of people writing checks.

I bought a digital meat smoker yesterday. And, come to think of it, I suppose one could smoke cheese and such as well.
Should be fun.
