Obama needs to "stop citing the world-historical greatness of his own speeches as if [he] were his own personal Chris Matthews."

Mickey Kaus wants to see some fake humility.

Obama made a good presentation in is Fox News appearance. But saying that Republicans have "good ideas" doesn't mean that he supports or will ever support one. Obama just talks, he never does.

Meanwhile the Wright controversy gets even worse. Wright has come out in recent days to corroborate what we already knew that he and his church has an anti-american and racist tinge. Wright hangs out with Louis Farrahkan. Obama's church gave Farrahkan a "
lifetime achievement award" and Obama is trying to say he is the best friend of Israel? This is pathetic. How did Obama ever get this far. We can't risk electing a racist anti-american for President. Obama claims he isn't these things, but we only have evidence - actions - that he is.

Remember, Wright is Obama's spiritual mentor. Obama writes in his book about how he had tears running down his face when Wright spoke. So sad.

Concealed actions are the most estimable. When I see a few of these in history, they please me greatly. They have not been completely concealed. They have been known. This small way in which they appeared increases their merit. That they could not be concealed is the finest thing of all.

You really wanted us to see his trashing of Elizabeth Edwards. Right?

Tell Mickey that Obama was priding himself on the patriotism of his speech, not its excellence.

Obama's church's pastor's daughter's magazine gave Farrahkan a "lifetime achievement award"

Love him or hate him, he helped a lot of black people lift themselves up out of drug addiction, poverty, and despair.

Obama is trying to say he is the best friend of Israel

Ask the Chicago Jews who know him best. The Crowns did not become powers in the defense industry and construction materials by being stupid. The Pritzkers' ability to spot essentially good companies with crappy management, buy them, and turn them around, is legendary.

You know what scares me about Mickey Krause is that he looks like an even uglier Gene Simmons. And I didn't think that was possible.

Out of Iraq and into Pakistan

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama said on Wednesday the United States must be willing to strike al Qaeda targets inside Pakistan, adopting a tough tone after a chief rival accused him of naivete in foreign policy.

bearbee -- Obama realizes that al-Qaeda attacked the US, not Saddam Hussein. If al-Qaeda is discovered in Pakistan and Pakistan does nothing about it, then Obama will attack al-Qaeda in Pakistan, much like Israel invaded Lebanon to get back their two soldiers kidnapped by Hezbollah.

But apparently he doesn't realize that Saddam Hussein is dead, and we're actually fighting Al Qaeda in Iraq these days.

Whining that Hussein didn't attack us made some amount of sense five years ago, but today it is a non sequitur. Iraq is in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq. Abandoning one ally to Al Qaeda in order to invade another ally without its permission would be criminally stupid.

It never really did. The 9/11 attack opened our eyes to the greater threat: the triangle of 1) rogue states that 2) have WMD programs and 3) support terrorist orgs for anonymous proxy attacks against the West.

My neighbor exemplifies the illogic of the Left re this. A rotted tree fell on my property. Not only did I remove the dead tree, I chopped down others in the area that were likewise infested. He complained that it was "unprovoked".
