"So I’ve got to tell you, a couple of days of being asked about something that you put in your books? I gotta tell you, I don’t have a whole lot of sympathy."

"He should answer the questions forthrightly and directly. If he does, the American people will accept it. If he doesn’t, then he’s got a problem.”

Chris Christie has got to tell Ben Carson.
"Did he watch what I went through in January of 2014 for months and months of relentless attacks from people in the media and in the partisan Democratic Party when it turned out that I did absolutely nothing wrong? I haven’t gotten a note of apology from anybody yet... I’ve got the scars all over my back to prove that a lot of people jumped to conclusions.... He’s got to be able to do and say what all of us are responsible for in this business, which is to be responsible for his own personal story...."

Carson has the Special Saint's Exception. It's in his halo.

The down market guys are all hoping this will help them. I don't think it will.

I wish Chris Christie would just drop out already.

Christie should have waited for the debate tomorrow night to spring this on Carson face to face.

Oh, wait, what?

Has Carson been objecting to these questions or suggesting that they are inappropriate (in any way other than in comparison to the lack of questioning of Obama)? I'm not saying that he hasn't, but I haven't seen it.

Christie got all touchy feely with Obama. He's an interesting guy, but I'm not a particular fan. And yes, every Republican candidate/politician gets flogged by the press in ways that just don't happen to Democrats. Christie's proud of his scars---big deal. Shoe me that you can connect with the voters and I might care. But ol Chris is past his sell by date.

Carson looked really good at his press conference. Even when one of the journalists tried to twist his words right there and then. Are we supposed to believe that journalists are really as dumb as they pretended to be? Well, maybe.

At one point Carson says he never received a scholarship or claimed to. Then another journalist shouts out, you just don't me you did! You just said you did a few moments ago!

He sounded quite righteous and sure of himself.

Then Carson scolds him and puts him in his place. I said I was offered a scholarship, not that I received one.

The media is trying so very hard to find a lie here. Because they hate people like Dr. Carson. They don't understand guys like him. They are so accustomed to dealing with guys like Bill Clinton. Remember, everyone is supposed to be as bad as Bill Clinton. As sleazy and dishonest. The excuse was, all Presidents do it.

Dr. Carson destroys that meme they created.

"Dr. Carson destroys that meme they created."

They are building him up and they hate that but don't know what else to do.

He's like Obi Wan Kinobi and they don't know what to do.

A lot of people are liable to vote for him just because he pisses off the media.

And he is so nice while he does it.

I remember whenever I watched President Bush, whom I supported, giving press conferences, I'd wince a lot. It was painful because he didn't do a very good job of defending himself or his positions.

Dr. Carson I actually enjoyed watching. He was quick on his feet. He didn't allow their attacks to fluster him. He could use some more practice, but what the heck, trial by fire, eh?

If he keeps this up, he has my vote.

There was even a moment during the press conference (I highly recommend watching the whole thing) where they ask him if he should be more focused on the important issues. It's sort of a jaw dropping moment. You almost have to do a double take. If I were Dr. Carson, I'd have just stuttered and spluttered and then cursed them all. Instead he just laughed and said of course he wants to talk about the important issues, they are the morons focusing on these lame accusations.

Bill Clinton: "it depends on what the meaning of is is."
Media: Oooh, what a smart, precise lawyer, he's a sharp guy, we respect that.

Dr. Carson: "I said I was offered a scholarship, not that I accepted one."
Medial: "oh look at that, parsing language like that, clearly he's trying to deceive, award him 14 Pinnocchios."

Not sure what Christie's problem is here. He was beat up in the press for Bridgegate and therefore he gets to beat up on people who are getting beat up in the press? Is that what it's all about? An initiation ceremony? I have my doubts.

Carson thought his presidential run would benefit his various businesses eg - motivational speaker. Might end up having the opposite effect.

It's ok for you to think he is a rotten shit like you, Uhh, even to claim it as an opinion, but to state it as a fact, you should have some evidence some day.

In case that wasn't clear: you are a rotten shit, Steve Uhr. Or whoever is posting under your handle.

Though I like "Uhh" better.

Christie pleads equal protection. It has a fair and balanced ring to it. Would Ailws hire him in place of Rove or Will? Maybe if he loses weight.:

It is purely about Carson vs. the ssecular progressive media. When did they ever ask about any "FLAWS in Hussein Obama's books or college records or what a "nice boy" BO was

Watch the press conference he gave. He did answer the questions. He also started asking the media some questions and rightly so.

Carson can't be intimidated by idiot press people. That alone makes them all the more angry at his continued existence.

And forthrightly stating that a reporter has a cranio-rectal inversion is well within Doctor Carson's area of absolute expertise.

Christie should have some sympathy since he too was smeared by the media and democratic operatives.
